Name: |
A. |
Kitty Kennedy (Creole China Doll)
Q. |
Location-Hometown: |
A. |
Louisiana |
Q. |
Occupation: |
A. |
Celebrity Model / Model Manager / Photo Retouch-er / Editor-In-Chief of Silk Magazine |
Q. |
When did modeling become a part of your life? |
A. |
I began modeling in 1996 & continued through 2004. I switched over to strictly print & internet at the beginning of 2008 & have continued to be successful. |
Q. |
How long to you plan to stay active in the game? |
A. |
I haven’t set a time line on my involvement in the industry. This is what I love so I’ll always be involved in some sort of way.
Q. |
1,000's of new girls toss their hats into the ring every day chasing this dream, what words of wisdom do you have for them? |
A. |
Be sure to network with key people in the business who can actually help you. And always do your research on whomever you plan on working with. |
Q. |
How do you feel the opportunities have grown today for models labeled as 'Ethnic or Urban"? |
A. |
Modeling as a whole has been dominated by Caucasians. But now, models of all ethnicity have the opportunity to showcase their beauty because of the development of ethnic/urban industry. |
Q. |
I see you do a lot of work behind the scenes, not just as a model in front of the camera? |
A. |
Yes, I wear many hats in the business. It doesn’t make sense to only specialize in one aspect of the business because that gets old quick & you’ll be forgotten about. I enjoy having my hands in everything. |
Q. |
Why have you not made the move (from small town, America) to the big city or modeling hot spots? |
A. |
That’s one of the main differences in the urban industry versus mainstream modeling. If a model does mostly print & internet, most of that can be taken care of over the world wide web. There’s no need for me to relocate. If I need to travel for a gig, then sure I’ll go wherever I’m requested. But home is here in Louisiana. It’s never hindered me from doing anything. |
Q. |
What do you feel you need to focus on the most to be more of a force in the industry? |
A. |
I’m involved from 4 different sides of the box, so I’m already at an advantage versus the average model. |
Q. |
If you could start over what direction would you have focused more on than you did to date? |
A. |
I don’t really think about that. I think everything has worked out the way it was supposed to. |
Q. |
If you were offered any movie or TV roles, what type of role would you be most interested in? |
A. |
I don’t really think I can act, lol! I’m not sure. Maybe the role of a villainess, like the characters that Joan Crawford used to play. |
Q. |
What's the most expensive gift you've gotten from a guy? |
A. |
A Rolex watch.
Q. |
Is there one or two sexy girls you would love to do a girl/girl video with or shoot? |
A. |
I’d love to do a photo shoot with Faya Dynamite. I think we’d complement each other well. |
Q. |
When was the first time you got drunk? |
A. |
I’ve been drinking since I was 15 years old, but I never actually got “drunk” until I was 29. I was at a parade & had not eaten before starting to drink that day. Needless to say it made me sick. I hope to NEVER experience that feeling again. |
Q. |
What's the best movie you've seen in the past year? |
A. |
“Inception” would be one of my top pick for this past year. |
Q. |
What place would you most like to visit and why? |
A. |
I’d like to visit the Congo. That’s where my family’s roots are. |
Q. |
What are the 3 essential ingredients to love? |
A. |
Honesty, communication & intimacy. |
Q. |
If you could be one person for a day who would you be? |
A. |
I only desire to be myself. It’s enough to walk in my own shoes every day, not to mention trying to walk in someone else's shoes for one day. |
Q. |
Your favorite dream cars you have or want to have? |
A. |
My favorite cars have always been Cadillac (old & new) & I currently own quite a few of them. But one day I’d love to own a Rolls Royce. |
Q. |
What things could a guy do to melt your heart? |
A. |
Tell me you’re taking me somewhere! There’s actually a difference in being asked “Do you wanna go somewhere?” versus having plans made for the sole purpose of showing me a good time. The latter is much more intriguing.
Q. |
What is the most spontaneous or adventurous thing you've done? |
A. |
Skydive & bungee jump! |
Q. |
You prefer hot nights on the town with your girls or chillin at home? |
A. |
Both, it kind of depends on my mood tho. |
Q. |
What music gets you up and rockin steady and dancing like a hip hop honey, stripper or rocker chick? |
A. |
Southern rap (preferably Louisiana or Texas) |
Q. |
Ever been drunk at the bar, and thrown out? |
A. |
Oh hell no!
Q. |
If you were stranded on a deserted island what three things would you want to have with you? |
A. |
Food, water & my Dell Streak smart phone! |
Q. |
What was the most recent movie you've seen, did you like it? |
A. |
I watched “For Colored Girls”
on DVD 3 nights ago. I thought it was very good. It portrays real life issues that women go thru & shows that everything in life isn’t entertainment, so to speak. |
Q. |
What's in your CD/DVD player right now? |
A. |
Groundation, Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs & Peter Tosh. |
Q. |
Are you ticklish? |
A. |
Just a little. |
Q. |
Vodka or Whiskey? |
A. |
Both. I can drink brown or white with no problem! |
Q. |
Movies or Books? |
A. |
I love both, but curling up with a good book is one of my favorite hobbies |
Q. |
Silk or lace? |
A. |
Definitely lace! |
Q. |
To wrap this up, where do you see yourself 5 years from now, 10 years? |
A. |
Continuing my success… simple as that! |
