Profession: |
A. |
Model, Professional Wrestling Manager, Photographer. |
Q. |
Are you single or in a relationship or looking still for life long love, if there is a such a thing now days? |
A. |
I'm in relationships, then I'm single again, then...well, I guess I'm married to my job. |
Q. |
How did you get started in modeling, were you the proverbial "duckling" that grew up to be a beauty? |
A. |
Not really. I went through my awkward phase like most, but I've always wanted to be a model. I truly enjoy being in front of the camera, becoming 'another person' and dressing up. |
Q. |
Do your fans recognize you quickly when your out and about and wanting hitting you autographs? |
A. |
Depends on where I am. I'm most recognized in gyms, since I did a lot of fitness modeling. It never works out as well, say...when I'm in a long queue and would love to jump to the front. Where's the love then??? |
Q. |
Now why Louisville, which is not the hot bed place to be to and in the forefront of the industry, why not Hollywood, Miami, Las Vegas? |
A. |
Along with Sluggers and derby, Louisville is also known for wrestling. I moved here for that. It's probably not a permanent move, but it's a very cool town and you can live well fairly inexpensively. |
Q. |
You proclaim on your MySpace page your a "nerd with boobs", the boobs we understand, what's up with the nerd part? |
A. |
I'm a bookworm, still study various things (history, languages) and watch a lot of indy and foreign movies. Pretty nerdy, huh? |
Q. |
I believe you were in Playboy correct, how did that appearance help you grow as a talent and celebrity? |
A. |
Exposure! Doesn't everyone "read the articles"? ;) |
Q. |
Do you feel you are a "good girl" or "bad girl", based on some of the adult work you have done in your career? |
A. |
I feel I'm a good girl...mostly. I go bad every now and again. |
Q. |
What was your family and friends re-action to when they 1st saw you for glamour nudes and even the more XXX stuff out there? |
A. |
Well, XXX would imply I've done "insertion", which I haven't. But my mom is European, my family has a very open mind about sex and nudity, so it wasn't that much of a big deal. |
Q. |
You have been described as having a Amazonian physique and exotic girl next door look, which image do you prefer as the "A" side of April Hunter? |
A. |
BOTH |
Q. |
Is your 1st love, fitness/modeling, wrestling or acting? |
A. |
Fitness modeling by far! |
Q. |
You have accomplished a lot in the industry, what to date do youfeel is most significant accomplishment? |
A. |
My longevity. I started young and am still around. I think keeping my site, www.AprilHunter.com and the (mostly) cool fans have helped a lot with that! |
Q. |
You have appeared in movies, videos, TV roles and can you touchupon those appearances to date? |
A. |
I enjoyed working in film. I worked a few times in Japan in film (movies, Toyota commercials, etc) and it was unreal...the Japanese work crazy long hours, but are amazingly professional. Talk about "sucking it up". Playboy was great, as was Maxim. I also really loved all my appearances in MuscleMag. Something I could show my grandmom, finally! |
Q. |
Wrestling has been your claim to fame...what was the driving forcethat got you started or interested in pro wrestling? |
A. |
See, I didn't think it was. I thought I did more in fitness modeling. But definitely, being on TV with WCW didn't hurt, nor did working with the nWo. You couldn't pick a better spot at the time, that's for sure!
I've been lucky to have been trained well...I went to Killer Kowalski's dojo and got a lot of great opportunities from that. I'm one of the few western females who has fought many times in Japan...they usually don't bring many females over; theirs are so good. I'm glad to have had a chance to see some of the world through wrestling, because I love traveling. Just not the airports OR Homeland Security. (They suck ass.) |
Q. |
We hear how fake and scripted wrestling is...fess up and tell those folks who insist it's not the truth? :) |
A. |
Depends on where you are. Mexico isn't, WWE is (because they run TV and need to have finishes that lead into continuing storylines.) Either way, the falls are real and so are the chops and injuries. Wrestlers don't have "a season". They don't get time off. They are on the road and in the ring every day, every week, every month and it's a hard life most people---other athletes included--couldn't sustain. Comparatively speaking, boxers and UFC fighters only have a few fights a year. |
Q. |
Have to ask, when you "got those "boobs" did you worry about them getting um, damaged when flying off the top rope? |
A. |
I had them long before I ever stepped into a ring, but YES. It was a major concern! |
Q. |
I saw a note that you had officially retired from wrestling, will you be looking to expand your movie and films career, TV etc..any projects we will hear about in the works? |
A. |
Of course! I have a few projects I'm looking at right now...but if I
told you, I'd have to kill you. |
Q. |
And to wrap this up, what does the future hold for April Hunter? |
A. |
